(INTERNATIONAL) MUDANSA- – On November 27th, the international peace NGO, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), in collaboration with Lighthouse School in Timor-Leste, held the inauguration ceremony of the Peace Children’s Choir.
The ‘Peace Children’s Choir’ was established with the aim of uniting children from the next generation, encouraging them to voice their support for global peace and illuminate the world. This objective aligns with the ideologies of HWPL, which advocates for every citizen to become a messenger of peace and respond to the blessings of nature. It also resonates with the principles of Lighthouse School, dedicated to educating citizens who embody the values of peace.
Co-hosted by HWPL and Lighthouse School, the event took place at the Lighthouse School on November 27. Participants took a moment to reflect on the value of peace, and listened to teachers’ remarks on the establishment of the Peace Children’s Choir, the reading of a declaration by the choir’s representative, and a choir performance of peace songs. Attendees commemorated the inauguration of the Peace Children’s Choir by reiterating the values of peace.
Immediately following the event, HWPL and Lighthouse School pledged cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to implement HWPL Peace Education. This initiative, inspired by the spirit of the UNESCO Charter, underscores the need to build a wall of peace in the hearts of individuals, recognizing that wars originate from the human mind. The MOU symbolizes their commitment to collaborate in implementing HWPL Peace Education.
As an international peace NGO, HWPL actively engages in various peace activities worldwide to achieve global peace through the cessation of wars. This event not only provides students with an opportunity to embrace the spirit and values of peace but also contributes to spreading the values of peace in Timor-Leste. Additionally, HWPL plans to continue collaborating with schools in Timor-Leste, starting with Lighthouse School, to implement HWPL Peace Education.
