(Dili) Mudansa- Entrepreneur Aileba João da Costa stated that the new government led by Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão should allow space for entrepreneurs to conduct businesses to pay for their children’s education and fulfill the needs of their households.
Entrepreneur João also expressed his happiness, even though life is difficult, to witness the solemn ceremony of the inauguration of the Prime Minister and the government members by President Ramos Horta.
“We, as entrepreneurs, are happy to see Xanana become the Prime Minister with his members. Therefore, we ask the government to now give us the freedom to seek a better life, so we can pay for our children’s education and support our families,” said Entrepreneur Aileba João to Media Mudansa.Com journalists at the Presidential Palace in Bairo-Pite, Dili, on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
The entrepreneur also recounted that Historical Leader Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão deserves to take the position of Prime Minister because he has always supported and encouraged all entrepreneurs, and he consistently buys products from the local people who sell them on the streets.
He suggested that members of parliament should not forget about the people when they take their seats in the National Parliament but instead prioritize the welfare of the people.
“When representing the people in the National Parliament, keep us in mind, the street vendors, and support us in conducting our businesses with dignity,” he declared.
