(Ainaru), Gourema Village – Horai-Quic community, Maubisse Administrative Post, Ainaru Municipality, conducted the Tara Bandu socialization to prevent burning land, cutting down trees arbitrarily and reducing Lia Fetosaan-Umane which has become a custom for the communities.
Horai-Quic sub-district chief Marcelino da Conceição Pires said, socialization activities tara bandu in the sub-district with the objective that communities do not burn land, cut down trees arbitrarily including prevent conflict between Fetosaan-Umane so that in the future can guarantee children’s future, while also preventing the risk of natural disasters caused by the community’s lack of care. and burn the ground arbitrarily.
“The objective of Tara Bandu activity is to prevent burning land and cutting down trees arbitrarily in risky areas, including to reduce conflict between women and men, if we do not create laws like Tara Bandu, then in the future our children will not go to school, because parents continue to talk about women and men”, said Suku Chief Marcelino to journalists Media Mudansa.
He stressed, Tara Bandu activity in the village’s space for communities is five (5) years and above can only be authorized to the community to do Lia fetosaan-umane, so as to ensure children who are well, some communities do not comply with rules or do not respect the law itself will receive sanctions including fines (compensation) to local authorities in Horai-Quic.
“I recommend to the community especially in Gourema Village, Horai-Quic to understand that the law we make has benefits for the future and good for our village and our municipality, ask the community to be aware to support our children to school and ensure a better future,” he recommended.
He added, sometimes conflict happens more in the language of fetosaan-umane as there are different ideas between the two parties (fetosaan-umane), while because the communities do not understand the laws about Tara-Bandu and damage children’s future.
“We must avoid and take children to the party fetoaan-umane, because children will not understand and their time is the time to learn and study,” he concluded
In the same place, Speaker Domingos Martins said, the community together with the Administrator of Ainaru, and the authorities set Tara Bandu regulations in Suku and Aldeia, so the regulation will give way to a prohibition that is agreed upon by the community and come out to apply.
“Tara Bandu is important to protect and promote culture and customs in Ainaru Municipality, to transmit to future generations, the character of Tara Bandu applies to people and people, people and animals, people and nature, including to reduce the conflict between men and women,” said Lia Nain Domingos.
Meanwhile, from Tara Bandu, the law will be applied and reminded to the population of Horai-Quic sub-district composed of Gourema, Hatu-São, Kartolu and Lauheli villages, with the objective to reduce the risk of natural disasters and reduce gender conflict.
