Dili (Kaikoli)-Commander of the National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL) Dili Municipality Superintendent Chief of Police Orlando Gomes, said the jury team of Dili Municipal Command began registration and received applications for police recruitment vacancies period 2025.
Dili Municipal Police Commander Chief Superintendent Orlando Gomes directed the recruits to form two lines composed of men and women, although formed with two lines that are long to the outside.
“The Commander-in-Chief and the entire jury team announced that today throughout the territory in all Municipal Commands, must register recruitment for the police, therefore the Dili Municipal Command began today registration for cadets who are to become cadets for the police” Orlando told to reporters at his office, Dili Kaikoli Municipal Police Command on 05/08/2025.
He explained the rule that the command issued that the form must be taken by the cadet or the owner himself and not through others, after the candidates form a jury team will call each candidate to review before taking the form.
“When the candidates are going to collect the form, the jury team will first review each candidate and measure their height, for women tall with 158 meters and men with 165 meters. When measuring height is not enough automatically eliminated, the second criterion before accessing the jury team one is some sign on their body, after the jury checks to find this will be eliminated and will not get the form, “he added.
He added that the jury team will also look at the age of the candidates that has been defined in regulation number 5, which with the age of 18 to 23 if there are candidates whose age does not reach 18 and 23 can not pass or eliminated.
“The jury will also see the document if incomplete will send complete all before giving the form, when these criteria are not present the candidate will jury will not give the form.
In the same place, candidate Elizio Robino dos Santos Gama, said he feels happy and grateful to the Government because it can give opportunities to young people to participate in the recruitment of police officers in 2025.
“I want to follow this recruitment to come and get this form because it comes from my desire to go out to serve the people and the nation especially for our people and this beloved country,” he said.
Meanwhile, the jury team declared that candidates access to the form will be taken from 10:00 to 12:30 noon, and will resume at 2:00 to 12:00 pm, while so far no candidate has met the criteria for the vacancy that has been announced.
