(Dili) Mudansa – In a significant step towards fostering peace in Timor-Leste, Media Mudansa and HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Media Mudansa office on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
The MOU underscores the crucial collaboration between Media Mudansa and HWPL, emphasizing the former’s active role in promoting peace, particularly through its involvement in the Peace City Dili project. HWPL, represented by Oliver Kim in Timor-Leste, expressed deep gratitude for Media Mudansa’s love and cooperation in advancing the cause of peace.
The “Peace City, Dili Project” is a comprehensive initiative by HWPL aimed at achieving sustainable peace in Timor-Leste. The project comprises three key components: Public Art, Peace Journalism, and Peace Education. The active participation of the Timorese government and citizens is essential for the success of this project, which has the potential to position Timor-Leste as a global symbol of peace, garnering international attention and recognition.
The strategic involvement of Media Mudansa, a media organization committed to promoting peace, is deemed crucial for the success of the initiative. Recognizing the significant role of media in shaping perceptions and influencing behavior, both organizations believe that widespread media coverage will generate public interest and active participation in the Peace City Dili project, contributing to the overall development of Timor-Leste.
