(OE-CUSSE) Baki-Director of Baki General Secondary School (ESGB) together with teachers and students celebrated the national anniversary of FALINTIL, for the 50th time to remember the heroes’ struggle for liberation.
Director of ESGB School, Chrishdarieante Rampi Anuno, said, Baki General Secondary School celebrates FALINTIL Day for the 50th time to remember the heroes who fought for independence.
“Today we celebrate the 50th anniversary of FALINTIL and also a very important day for us to remember the heroes who fought in the bush, and we must congratulate them because we are free at this time, so it is more important for students and teachers to perform their duties, such as motivating and good behavior to contribute to students in Timor-Leste, prepare for their future tomorrow”, said, School Director (ESGB) Chrishdarieante Rampi Anuno, to journalist Média Mudansa, Wednesday 20/08/2025.
The director said, the activities of the school are as follows; Icar Bandeira with National Anthem and Drum Band, these activities every school year always held to commemorate important days.
“But this school is not the first to hold such activities, this school every year always holds activities like this to commemorate important days such as May 20, November 28 and August 30, always held in this school, although the restoration day is held in Oe-cusse village but still held in this school this”, he said.
The director also asked the youth and students when there is a good dream to do something for the country must be realized in your future, and especially access to education because you are the future of the country.
Meanwhile, the celebration of the anniversary of FALINTIL Day also received maximum participation from students and teachers, interns from the National University of East Timor (UNTL) and communities.
