CPLP Games XIII SEKOMS Acknowledges the contribution of the media

(Dili) CCD- The ninth (9th) constitutional government through the Secretary of State for Social Communications (Sekoms) appreciated the media platforms, radio, television, digital online and print that contributed to cover the XIII CPLP Games that Timor-Leste hosted.

According to Secretary of State for Social Communications (Sekoms) Expedito Loro Dias said, the media’s contribution shows the world that Timor-Leste is a country that is ready to do various activities including sports activities.

“On behalf of the ninth (9th) constitutional government and the Secretary of Social Communications, I would like to express my gratitude to the media responsible and to the conventional media and online digital platform media, because the media’s contribution to sports games that take place in Timor Leste, is very strong through coverage activities,” said Sekoms to journalists at the CCD Media Center.

The governor declared, all social communication bodies in Timor-Leste have shown their important role and decisive role in promoting Timor-Leste to the world through sports activities.

“Timor-Leste with many activities that the media contributed during this time and starting from the commemoration of 25 years of referendum then followed by the Pope, then followed by the Pope’s visit and other activities such as international and until today and the media from social communication bodies and social communication means that have shown the world that Timor-Leste can report international activities in its own country,”

Therefore, he underlined, Secretary of State for Social Communications (acronym-Sekoms) observed online digital platform media during the work in the CPLP Games starting from contingents and delegations from CPLP member states entered Timor-Leste and adventure games, as well as continue to cover sports activities such as football, basketball, athletics, sagresmu badminton and other games that the government held in Timor Leste.

“As we all know the communities in Dili, municipalities and also in the diaspora they follow through media transmission their contribution and give good results and they know Timor Leste’s capacity to hold CPLP 12 games this year” he concluded
