On June 7, 2026, a local exchange and networking event for invited community organizations and local leaders was held at Osaka Central Public Hall, a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. The event drew 65 attendees, including local citizens and representatives from various regional organizations. Hosted by the Kobe Branch of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), the event provided an opportunity for participants to engage in discussions on peace exchange and solidarity.
The event was organized with the primary goal of establishing a sustainable and practical peace network within the Osaka region, regardless of nationality, culture, or organizational affiliation. Focusing on solidarity and open communication among diverse civil society groups and local figures, the exchange served as a collaborative platform designed to share perspectives on peace and encourage discussion within the broader community.
The venue, Osaka Central Public Hall, is a landmark completed in 1918. Registered as a National Important Cultural Property, it serves as a premier hub for culture and exchange in Osaka. With its history of hosting numerous international conferences and lectures, this symbolic space added profound meaning to the event, inspiring attendees to engage in cross-sector dialogue.
Local organization leaders and participants expressed support for the peace-related initiatives presented by HWPL. Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to participating in HWPL’s diverse peace activities moving forward and agreed to continue concrete consultations and follow-up discussions to strengthen their partnership.
Yusei Damashima from the organization PEACE ACTION QUEST shared his reflection: “It was a time that made me realize peace isn’t some distant or grand concept, but something that can start from the smallest things. First, I want to start with what I can do right now by expressing my gratitude to those close to me. That small act leads to someone’s happiness, and that happiness is passed on to someone else. I felt that this is how the circle of peace grows, little by little.”
According to the organizers, the event provided an opportunity to laid the groundwork for practical peace solidarity within the Osaka community. The HWPL Kobe Branch plans to maintain regular communication to solidify the newly established local network.
