Limited Jobs, Business Becomes An Alternative Way For Adolfu.

(Díli) Farol- Limited jobs make many people face difficulties in finding work, with this business becomes an alternative for Adolfu Martins to earn a living and sustain family needs.

Businessman Adolfu Martins, said, looking at the limited jobs, he does not hold hands with the state but create his own business to sustain daily life.

“I have my own initiative to do this business to sustain daily life, because we can finish our studies, looking at the reality in Timor is the job market offered to young people is very limited, so a way for us young people do not wait for the state to give us, through this way we have also contributed ”, said Adolsa Martins. He added that the business he runs is selling cigarettes and coffee in Farol garden, Uma Laku.

“I have been selling cigarettes and coffee in the garden for only three weeks, I sell from morning till night but depending on the vendors who come to the garden have returned so I have returned home,” he said.

So he add, the business he runs started with forty dollars ($40), and from this he can sustain his needs and support the needs of the family.

“I started this business with $40, and the money I get from this business can be used for my daily needs to sustain the needs of the family,” he said.

He said, the families support the activities that he does because it can contribute to sustain the needs of the family.

While in the garden Farol not only Adolfu alone who do business there, but there are also other traders who do business in the garden.

“Here I am not the only one who sells, but, we sell together five (5), which money we get sometimes less, but just look at the students when they concentrate a lot here, so we are also happy because we can get a little money until the night can return home, which I get a minimum of $6 a day I’m glad I got a little fifteen dollars ($15)”, informed the trader.

Although the business is small but Adolfu has big dreams and hopes, he plans to create a bigger business in the future.

He said, the challenges he faced is that there are mostly students who go to sit where they buy goods according to the ability of students.

“The problem I encounter is especially this place many people come to concentrate here, but only students that they buy also according to the ability of students, but I still try with these challenges to motivate me not to give up trying to continue to provide solutions to these challenges,” he said.
